‘bag/belly/box’ is a collection of pieces inspired by Ursula K. Le Guin’s ‘The Carrier Bag Theory of Fiction’. In its entirety, the compilation acts as a container of experiences and expressions of the artists involved.

The container holds the local park, repressed feelings, internalized change, a list of plants, the gatherer, nerve endings, openings, and a glimpse of everyday life. It unfolds emotions and feelings of alienation, sensitivity, distrust, liminality, curiosity, uncertainty, loneliness, and care. Ready to be opened and closed. For you to keep as you move on.

‘bag/belly/box’ has been curated by Alto Aria and Skarv and presents works by Helena Gao, ioulus, J Sliwa, KRY, L.Mantis, Lucas Chikhieo, Messell, Ryong, as well as the curators.

All proceeds from album purchases on Bandcamp will be donated to Close Ellebæk, a group of activists continuing the work of resistance against Ellebæk Prison at Center Sandholm.
